INSIGHT 2026

The Conference That Moves You Forward

Part think tank, part workshop, part family reunion

Join cooperative leaders, communicators, and problem-solvers for two energizing days of learning, hands-on workshops, and real-world conversations. You’ll sharpen member intelligence and measurement, strengthen your communication playbook, and leave with a workbook, a practical checklist, and a fully defined project ready to launch in 2026—plus fresh ideas for fiber, rates, and proactive messaging, and connections you’ll use long after you’re home.

Insight 2026 - Conference That Moves You Forward

Experience Insight 2026 in the Heart of Kansas City

This year, the Insight Conference will be held in Kansas City’s Power & Light District. The Power & Light District is an area built on the city’s power past, and now serves as a hub for connection, commerce and culture. It’s a particularly fitting setting for electric cooperative professionals, where power and light are both history and mission.

Lodging will be held at the Hotel Phillips, a historic Art Deco landmark that blends classic character with modern comfort, just steps from the district’s dining, entertainment, and nightlife. Our reception on Monday night will be held at the PS Speakeasy, tucked inside the hotel, offering an intimate, Prohibition-era space to connect and encourage ideas to flow.

Hotel Phillips: The cutoff date is Monday, March 2, and the nightly rate is $169.

Session 1: Survey Says/Data Says: Know Your Members
A fun, interactive look at what member insights really tell you—and what they mean for your work.

Session 2: Measuring Impact: What to Track + How to Use It
Real cooperative case studies will guide a discussion on measuring results, quantifying campaign performance, tracking key metrics, evaluating impact, and turning insights into smarter decisions.

Lunch on the Town
Enjoy lunch offsite and connect with fellow attendees. Offsite lunch is provided by Inside Info

Roundtable Hot Topic Sessions
Dive deep into today’s most pressing cooperative and communication topics. These rotating small-group conversations are designed for sharing, questioning, and practical takeaways. Choose three of the four sessions.

The Fiber Playbook: Lessons, Challenges & Best Practices
Take a deep dive into the realities of fiber deployment with two former co-op employees who bring firsthand experience from leading fiber initiatives, member expectations, internal coordination, messaging strategies, and the operational challenges. Whether your co-op is planning fiber, already rolling it out, or simply trying to get ahead of the questions that come with it, Lauren and Sam will help you navigate the complexities with confidence.

Own the Moment: Critical & Proactive Communication
Dive into the art of addressing issues before they become problems, equipping you with tools to communicate clearly and consistently. Drawing from real-world examples across cooperatives, they’ll explore how to anticipate member concerns, build trust through transparency, and position your co-op as a proactive partner—not a reactive one. Expect practical frameworks, messaging tips, and strategies you can put to use immediately, whether you're communicating outages, operational changes, or community updates.

Rate Changes: From Planning to Confident Messaging
Explore strategies for communicating rate changes with transparency, confidence, and context, so members understand not just what is changing, but why. This session focuses on how to explain complex financial decisions in plain language, anticipate member concerns, and deliver messages that build trust rather than confusion or frustration. You’ll examine timing, tone, and channel selection, along with real-world examples that show how thoughtful communication can turn a difficult message into an opportunity to reinforce credibility and strengthen relationships.

Data Strategy: Turning Insights into Action
Discover how to transform data into a clear, strategic asset. This session explores how to move beyond disconnected systems and spreadsheets to create a more cohesive approach to data. You’ll learn how to identify the data that truly matters, make it accessible across teams, and translate numbers into insights that resonate with leadership, staff, and members alike.

Session 1: Permission to Delegate
Explore the art of freeing yourself from the tasks you don’t love—whether they drain your time, your energy, or your enthusiasm—and handing them off to the experts at Inside Information. Learn how to delegate the work that slows you down so you can elevate yourself and your cooperative, focusing on the projects, people, and possibilities that energize you most. It’s a mindset shift, a productivity upgrade, and a permission slip to spend more time doing what you do best.

Session 2: Project Lab: Guided Working Session
Bring a real project or pressing problem—and roll up your sleeves. In this hands-on working session, our team will guide you through outlining your challenge, breaking it into actionable steps, and identifying what support you need to move it forward. Whether you’re refining an idea for 2026 or tackling something urgent back home, you’ll leave with clarity, momentum, and a plan shaped with expert help.

Pie & Coffee Clarity Break
Because all the best ideas start with pie and coffee…

Session 3: Sharing is Caring
A collaborative session celebrating the best ideas in the room—yours. Share your project outcomes, and expect real stories, peer solutions, and valuable learning.

Session 4: Bring It Home, Take It Home
We'll wrap up the Insight Conference with key themes, standout lessons, and inspiration for what comes next. You’ll leave with clarity, direction, and motivation to put your new knowledge into action the moment you’re back home.
